December Recap....

So, December ended up being a busy month....we started the month trying to get ahead of the holiday business.  I thought I was doing well until Harrison ended up with Strep throat one week then the next week, the week before Christmas, Avery ended up with RSV.  We made it to Christmas healthy, praise God.  Santa brought me a new laptop, which is another reason I'm just now getting an update on our blog.  We had to transfer all my files over to the new computer and I still need to get a cord to get pictures off my camera!!  (I have a few on there from Christmas I'd love to put up here when I get a cord.) Here are a few of my favorites from the month.

Above, I heard Harrison laughing and walked into the room to see he added some bunny ears to Avery's head.  I started to tell Harrison to take them off, then realized that Avery was laughing right back at him!  So, of course, I ran to get the camera instead!!!

Annie and Bret came over to celebrate Christmas with us and gave Harrison an Angry Birds hat and shirt!  He was thrilled and has worn them every chance he's had!

Annie took some great three month pictures of Avery!  This is one of my favorites.  Thanks to Annie for continuing to share her awesome talent with our family!

We, Avery and I, are making weekly visits to hang out with Colton and Annie.  Here is one of cute shots of them together and below is another from a week when Harrison joined us!  I'm so lucky to have a long time best friend to share the joys of babies together with.

And nothing needed to be said for this picture below....it's just cute!

And, lastly, Harrison's hightlight of the month....He stayed up until midnight for New Year's Eve! (The real midnight - We weren't smart enough to change the clocks or go by New York's ball dropping!) He had been looking forward to staying up since August!  How could we deny him!  We had a great night celebrating playing games and watching CARS 2 (for the 50th time!) with Grandma Beano and Grandpa Hawk! Avery even got up for a midnight feeding to celebrate with us and Harrison and Grandma Beano added a little dancing to the night!

Halloween Recap....

A quick recap of our Halloween (A week after the fact, but better late than never, or months later!)
We had our great friends over, The Hess Family, for pumpkin shaped pizza, pumpkin carvings, and trick or treating!  The boys really got into trick or treating this year, especially Steve!  (Steve will be ready to go all night with Harrison when he's up for it!)  The story behind Harrison's costume: After many costume desires Harrison decided he wanted to be a ghost (not a scary ghost, a friendly one)!  So I made him a ghost costume!  Then after a few Halloween parties with his friends, he decided he wanted to be Superman.  Well, after making this ghost costume we were going to wear it, so we borrowed Carson's Superman cape and....
Harrison became a Super Ghost!  Quoting his sweet words, he helped other ghosts!

A caterpiller and an apple...

Halloween night pictures soon to come....
In the meantime, I snagged these from Annie's blog (with her permission of course!).  Cole, The Hungry Little Caterpillar (which she knitted), and Avery, Our Little Apple (which I bought!).  They were pretty cute together and got many "ooohs and aahhhs" at the Arboretum when we were taking the pictures!

A little catch up...

This is from this summer (before school started) with the Ray kiddos!  I stole it from Kristin's blog.  Haylee and Harrison love seeing eachother.  Precious Rylee with her broken leg and Proud Big Brother Harrison!

First Bath!!!  Boy, I could swear this was a picture of Harrison when he was a baby!
First day of preschool, which he absolutely loves!!
We did this with Harrison and Pat the Bunny and so we will carry on the tradition with Avery and her little Rainbow Fish.  Every month, a picture with her little friend!  Above - Month One
Month Two
This is a special picture.  Avery is wearing a dress that I wore when I was a baby.  My Mom kept it all these years!  It's adorable.
Of course, I had to get one of the cutest parts of the dress....the back!
Also, please note, two months and she now has two rolls on her little thighs!

St. Louis Favorites...

We just came back from St. Louis for Avery's Baptism and my cousin's wedding!  It was a great time - here a few of our favorite pictures...
A group shot from the baptism!
Avery in the traditional baptism gown.  Many of my aunts, cousins, and second cousins have all worn this gown that was tailored by my great-grandfather and embroidered by my great grand-mother.
A trip in October isn't complete without going to the pumpkin patch at Eckerds Farm!
 Just plain cute!!
Look at our family of four all dressed up!!
And of course, before leaving the wedding we made a family trip to the photo booth!  Avery loved it!! :)
